Celebrating a Superior Christmas
Whether you have been part of Christmas at Superior Care Home in the past, or if this is the first holiday you will be sharing with us, you will quickly understand that a Superior Christmas is a special experience. We have many special Christmas programs and parties planned throughout the month of December, including one of our most treasured traditions — our Annual Family Christmas Dinner.
As always, the Annual Family Christmas Dinner will be a memorable evening for residents and their families. We will serve a traditional holiday dinner with all the trimmings, and Santa will deliver gifts, brought by family members, to each resident. Residents of the West Wing (rooms 101-121) and their families and friends will celebrate on Monday, December 16 at 7 p.m., with entertainment by members of the Paducah Symphony Youth Orchestra. The party for East Wing (rooms 201-223) residents, families and friends will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m., with a performance by the Paducah Symphony's Youth & Children's Chorus.
Reservations are required and must be made by Monday, December 9. Please make your reservations early, so we can accommodate you. Because of the popularity of this event, we request that each resident have only up to seven guests. If you are unable to attend on the assigned night, please contact Tonya Sensing at 270-442-6884 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make other arrangements. Please drop off your wrapped Santa gift for your loved one to the Social Service Office no later than Thursday, December 12.
As You Give, You Gather
The Paducah Cooperative Ministry food pantry donation item for November and December is instant potatoes. While potatoes are the item of the month, all food pantry items will be accepted. Please leave your donations in the blue tote located just inside the Superior Care Home lobby. Thank you.
The Superior Cafe Now Offers Choices for Lunch and Dinner
Joining the recently initiated restaurant-style, breakfast experience, Superior Cafe is offering four choices of menus for lunch and dinner. Residents who dine in Superior Cafe may now choose meals such as Shrimp Scampi with noodles and seasoned broccoli florettes, or Baked Chicken with parsley potatoes and seasoned green beans. For those who would rather a light repast, choose the Soup of the Day like Cream of Broccoli or Minnestrone and a sandwich, or the fruit plate may be just enough. Let's not forget dessert. Peach Cobbler, Lemon Bars or Sherbet are a delightful way to end the meal.
